TREMENDOUS TROTTERS FOR FLOOR MOUNTED COLUMN RADIATORS
Who loves London’s Battersea Power Station? We do. The Art Deco architecture fills us with joy whenever we pass by its Herculean, yet glamorous, presence. It’s clear that Eskimo’s Product Design Engineers were hugely inspired by the Power Station’s form, as soon as you are introduced to the feet, designed for our floor-mounted Column radiators.
Eskimo already design beautiful, simplistic, clean-lined legs for our floor-mounted RON radiator range, Leggy RON. But this time, we felt that Column’s form required feet rather than legs. In order to continue the slender sides whether a tall vertical version or long, horizontal alternative. Echoing the shapes of the radiator completely, all the way down.
The intention of the design was to avoid ugly fixings or difficulty in application and installation. Whilst still ensuring great stability. So these tremendous trotters, designed for floor mounted Column radiators, were created from a single aluminium component, also great for cost and material efficiency.
Our Product Design Engineers habitually design with form & function working in harmony at all times. Never depriving Eskimo’s interior products of those fundamental necessities. The Art Deco architectural form, adds just a little something special to the design of the feet, without being tacky or losing sight of the overall union. The focus on functionality requires a sturdy base with clean lines and the exclusion of ugly fixings. So we avoided a shape too delicate, both visually and practically. What we absolutely love about Column’s feet is that we’ve used the mistake-proofing Japanese method of Pok-A-Yoke. Therefore, when it comes to installation, there is only one way around each foot will go. It won’t slot into the bottom of your radiator unless it’s the right fit.
Floor mounting your radiators should be like perfecting an outfit. Enough design to induce compliments and pleasure, enough practicality for exemplary function. The perfect fit.
